Short version: Read Later keeps everything you save on your own device and sends nothing anywhere.
None. Read Later does not collect, store on our servers, transmit, sell, or share any personal or usage data. It makes no network requests of any kind and has no backend.
When you click Save this page, Read Later records the current page's title, URL, site name, favicon and a
short readable excerpt, and stores them locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so your reading
list persists between sessions. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted, and we cannot see it.
Read Later uses activeTab and scripting only at the moment you click Save this page:
it reads the title and a text excerpt of the tab you are currently viewing, so it can save them. It does not run on
pages in the background, does not monitor your browsing, and requests no broad host permissions — it cannot read pages
you have not explicitly chosen to save.
None. No analytics, no ads, no trackers, no external SDKs, no remote code, no accounts, no sync.
